A 62-year-old male patient received BNT162b2, BNT162b2 omi ba.
4-5 (COMIRNATY RTU FOR BA.
4-5), on 24Dec2022 as dose 5 (booster), single (Lot number: GJ9258, Expiration Date: 29Feb2024) at the age of 62 years for covid-19 immunisation.
The patient's relevant medical history and concomitant medications were not reported.
Vaccination history included: Covid-19 vaccine (DOSE 1, MANUFACTURER UNKNOWN), for COVID-19 immunisation; Covid-19 vaccine (DOSE 2, MANUFACTURER UNKNOWN), for COVID-19 immunisation; Covid-19 vaccine (DOSE 3, MANUFACTURER UNKNOWN), for COVID-19 immunisation; Covid-19 vaccine (DOSE 4, MANUFACTURER UNKNOWN), for COVID-19 immunisation.
The clinical course was reported as follows: on 24Dec2022, the patient received the 5th vaccination.
On the morning of 25Dec2022, 37.
6 degrees Centigrade increased.
On 26Dec2022, he went to work.
He fell in the workplace suddenly in the evening.
He was transferred to Hospital.
The spontaneous circulation did not return, and he died.
On 27Dec2022, an administrative autopsy was performed, and acute aortic dissection and haemopericardium were found.
The reporting physician classified the event as serious (death) and assessed that the causality between the event and BNT162b2 as unassessable.
Other possible cause(s) of the event such as any other diseases was acute aortic dissection.
The reporting physician commented as follows: although the cause of death was clear, the patient received the vaccination 2 days before and experienced adverse reactions including pyrexia etc.
The influence of blood pressure increased etc.
