double pulmonary embolism; This is a spontaneous report received from a non-contactable reporter(s) (Consumer or other non HCP) from Party.
A male patient received BNT162b2 (COMIRNATY), as dose number unknown, single (Batch/Lot number: unknown) for covid-19 immunisation.
The patient's relevant medical history and concomitant medications were not reported.
The following information was reported: PULMONARY EMBOLISM (medically significant, life threatening), outcome "recovering", described as "double pulmonary embolism".
The BioNTech vaccine gave patient a double pulmonary embolism which brought patient within a second of death.
The whole thing was horrific, but patient was the fighter type and got himself back up and running.
After all the tests, patient didn't have the DNA or the protein to make a blood clot.
Fortunately, patient was one of the lucky ones with top-class health coverage.
However, the physician did say to patient the following day after patient passed out, said that patient was a lucky man; if the doctors were not beside him when he passed out, he was dead.
No follow-up attempts are possible; information about lot/batch number cannot be obtained.
No further information is expected.
