89-year-old male who was previously living in an independent facility presents to the hospital on 1//23 (vaccinated on 12/28/2022) with a chief complaint of bradycardia, rates in the 30s, AKI, supratherapeutic INR, right lower lobe infiltrate.
He did require dopamine and Lasix in the ICU.
Ultimately, he was discharged on 1/10/2023 to skilled nursing facility (previously independent).
On 1/24 patient was readmitted to this hospital with a chief complaint of altered mental status with agitation requiring Haldol.
At this time the patient's POA elected to pursue comfort care for this patient.
On 1/25/2023 patient died.
To reiterate patient did have a seemingly rapid decline in overall health status during the short timeframe status post COVID-19 vaccination.
