A 66-year-old male patient received bnt162b2 (PFIZER-BIONTECH COVID-19 VACCINE, solution for Injection, lot number: FE2090, expiry date: 31Oct2021) on 21Jul2021, 11:52 as dose 2, single, for COVID-19 immunization.
The patient's medical history included hypertensive and a diabetic.
Concomitant medications were not reported.
The patient previously received first dose of BNT162B2 on 08Jun2021 for COVID-19 immunisation and 20 days after the vaccination, the patient experienced COVID-19.
The patient previously tested positive for Covid-19, at the time he was put on oxygen, antibiotics and analgesics, and sent to another level of care.
On 23Jul2021, the patient presented with fever, difficulty breathing, oxygen saturation 46%, blood pressure 157/72 and blood glucose 20.
5 mmol/L.
On 23Jul2021, at 14:15 patient died due to the events.
It was unknown if autopsy was performed.
No follow-up attempts are possible.
