This is a maternal report.
A 38-year-old female patient received first dose of BNT162B2 (COMIRNATY), via an unspecified route of administration on 27Jul2021 (Batch/Lot Number: FF4213) as DOSE 1, SINGLE for covid-19 immunization.
The patient's medical history was not reported.
Concomitant medications included acetylsalicylic acid (ACETYLSALICYLZUUR ACTAVIS) and acetylsalicylic acid (ASPIRINE) both taken for unspecified indications, start and stop dates were not reported.
The patient experienced premature rupture of membranes and maternal exposure during pregnancy on 27Jul2021.
It was reported that this reaction occurred after the first COVID-10 vaccination at 34+2 weeks of pregnancy.
Ten hours after the vaccination her water broke.
The same day she delivered a set of twins via a caesarian section.
She beliefs it is a coincidence that labor started short after the vaccination, since early delivery is common with twins, but she wanted to report it nevertheless.
The patient stated; "I gave birth the same day by caesarean section, at a term of 34+2 weeks of pregnancy.
By the way, I gave birth to twins.
Since there is a higher risk of preterm birth in a multiple pregnancy, I assume that it was a coincidence and not a side effect of the vaccine, that my delivery started so soon after the vaccination.
But I thought it would be good to report it anyway.
" The mother reported she became pregnant while taking BNT162B2.
The outcome of the events was unknown.
No follow-up attempts are possible.
