Chest tightness; This regulatory authority case was reported by an other health care professional and describes the occurrence of CHEST DISCOMFORT (Chest tightness) in a 21-year-old male patient who received mRNA-1273 (Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine) (batch no.
2100686_1110418-CDC) for COVID-19 vaccination.
No Medical History information was reported.
On 02-Apr-2022, the patient received second dose of mRNA-1273 (Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine) (Intramuscular) 1 dosage form.
On 03-Apr-2022, the patient experienced CHEST DISCOMFORT (Chest tightness) (seriousness criterion life threatening).
At the time of the report, CHEST DISCOMFORT (Chest tightness) was resolving.
For mRNA-1273 (Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine) (Intramuscular), the reporter did not provide any causality assessments.
No concomitant medication details was provided.
Patient was being recovered / solution was in progress It was reported that the patient denied any disease.
According to patient, after Moderna shot he was suffered from chest tightness were noted since April 3 10pm, so his family brought to ER for help.
At ER patient's consciousness clear vital sign was stable, the EKG no obvious ST elevation, but follow lab showed elevation of cardiac enzyme.
man replied probably Moderna leading to myocarditis, suggested transfer to hospital for intensive care and was kept closely monitored.
At the ER, patient's consciousness clear vital sign was stable, the physical assessment breathing sound clear on bilateral side, abdomen soft, no tenderness.
Check Lab cardiac enzyme elevation.
So ICU for intensive care.
Therefore, Under the impression of probably moderna leading to myocarditis.
Patient was admitted for further evaluation and treatment.
After admitted ICU, his consciousness clear, and vital sign showed stable, still complain chest tightness deny radiation to back or jaw.
So esomeprazole and acetaminophen was administered.
Nevertheless, patient's mother wanted go to the another facility for treatment, and we informed totally condition included risks on the road and any risk.
They agreed and assisted to facility on April 5, 2022.
On 6-Apr-2022 a phone call was made but was connected to the voice mail.
